Start in Accra and drive the coast road to Cape Coast. You'll walk through Cape Coast and Elmina castles with a guide who knows the history first-hand, then trade the weight of the day for a slow evening by the water.

Itinerary
1Day 1: Accra to Cape Coast
Morning pickup in Accra and a three-hour drive west along the coast. Check in, lunch of fresh grilled tilapia, and a walk through Cape Coast town to get your bearings.
2Day 2: The castles
A guided morning at Cape Coast Castle, then Elmina Castle after lunch. These are long, honest tours. The afternoon is left open — most travelers want quiet time afterward.
3Day 3: Kakum canopy walk & return
Early start for the canopy walkway at Kakum National Park before the heat and the crowds. Lunch on the way back and an evening return to Accra.
