What to expect

The north is a different Ghana — savannah, elephants, and centuries-old mud architecture. This trip pairs a safari at Mole National Park with the mosques and markets of the Northern Region.

Day by Day

Itinerary

1Day 1: Fly to Tamale

Domestic flight from Accra to Tamale, transfer and overnight. Evening walk through the city.

2Day 2: To Mole National Park

Drive to Mole with a stop at the ancient Larabanga mosque. Afternoon check-in overlooking the waterhole.

3Day 3: Safari

A morning walking safari with a ranger — elephants, antelope and warthog — and a driving safari in the afternoon.

4Day 4: Villages & crafts

Visit a nearby village and a shea butter cooperative to see how it's made and sold.

5Day 5: Back to Tamale

Return to Tamale with time at the central market and the cultural centre.

6Day 6: Fly to Accra

Morning flight back to Accra, connecting to your onward international flight.
